Kaiju Damage Compensation

Compensation is available to residents, tenants and business owners for damage caused by kaiju activity inside zones 3, 4 and 5. Damage in zones 1 and 2 is handled by municipal insurance schemes, not by this Office.

What is covered

• Structural damage to buildings and fixed installations.
• Contents — furnishings, equipment and stock, per the itemised loss schedule.
• Compensation covers business interruption for commercial properties. A business registration certificate is required.

Cosmetic damage, loss of amenity, and increases in insurance premiums are not covered.
