Requirements — Proximity Construction Permit
Required documents
- Site plan — scale 1:500 or finer, showing the corridor centreline.
- Seismic and impact mitigation plan — prepared by a licensed structural engineer.
- Corridor proximity survey — no older than 6 months.
- Contractor prefecture licence — copy of a current licence.
Fees
Permit application fee: ¥45,000, payable on submission. Not refundable if refused.
Deadlines and processing
Apply at least 10 business days before works begin. Standard processing time is 10 business days from receipt of a complete application.
Complete applications only
An application missing any required document is returned unprocessed. The 10-day clock starts only when the application is complete.
